Longarm and the Railroad War

This year's Longarm Giant Edition is a sequel of sorts to the story arc that ran through the previous four Giant Editions, but it can be read as a stand-alone as well.  Jessie Starbuck and Ki from the old Lone Star series make another appearance and team up with Longarm again, for those of you who enjoy those crossovers.

Looking forward to it.

Interesting author name on this one... any connection with the western pulp character Sonny Tabor, written by Paul Powers, I wonder?

It's been quite a while since I've read a Longarm. This one looks pretty good.

Since Longarm operates out of Denver, I suspect Lou Cameron came up with the pseudonym because of the mining tycoon whose last name was Tabor (I don't recall his first name). I don't have any idea where the Evans came from, but I do know that when the Lone Star series started, the house-name on it was Wesley Ellis so that the books would be shelved next to, or at least close to, each other alphabetically in the bookstores. The same reasoning was behind using "Justin Ladd" on the Abilene books. That way they were right next to the L'Amour books and maybe more people would notice them.

As Dave Barry says, I am not making this up.
